Morning Quiet Time with Jesus


Stop bringing what you see others do in their relationship with God into yours.
The same way all natural relationships are different,  spiritual relationships are as well.

What works with you and God isn't going to work in my relationship with Him.
What we see others do and how they flow with God is different than how you flow with Him.

Don't get upset that you aren't up bright eyed and bushy tail at 5:30 in the morning praying the heavens down.
God wants you on the 10 pm watch.

Don't feel weird that God speaks to you in un-traditional ways (through birds chirping or thunderstorms).
Don't get frustrated that your passion and fervor doesn't come across like the next one.

God designed us individually unique and that reflects in our individual relationships with Him.

Wrestlemania....

This last week I was kind of in a funk…not funky lol but just feeling blah.   I let the cares of my world get to me. I had to fall asleep listening to music because my mind would not slow down long enough for me to fall asleep.   Yesterday evening I found myself sitting in my room in the dark with the door closed….just…didn’t even know what I was thinking…… I got up this morning and said my prayer as I got ready for work….it was a tough morning because Nazir seemed EXTRA cranky. Surprisingly, I didn’t let that get to me. Not Just visitation.........

So this morning while I was praying....I asked God to never let me leave His presence. I don't just want visitation but i want habitation.  I asked Him how do I do this. He asked me what does Psalm 34:1 say? I said it says: I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. He said well you know that I inhabit the praises of my people (according to Psalm 22:3). I said yes Lord.  Then He responded live Psalm 34:1. If you continually praise me, I will inhabit your praise.The word continually means without cessation or intermission; unceasingly; always. The word inhabit means to live or dwell in (a place), as people; to exist or be situated within; dwell in.  When we always have a praise of thanks giving for God, He will dwell within us....Many times we complain that we don't feel God's presence. What's in your shopping cart?

I usually don’t share my dreams with the World Wide Web but I think this dream will truly bless someone. This morning I had a dream that I was in the grocery store checking out.   When I was done paying for everything, I noticed three bags left on the conveyor belt. One of the bags had fruit in them. I looked at my cart but it was filled to capacity. I tried to figure out how I was going to fit those last three bags into my cart….then I woke up. I wrote the dream down in my journal along with the other one I had.   As I was making the bed, God gave me the meaning of it.   He said “You’re full of junk and you don’t have room for what you really need.   You’re trying to figure out how to add what you should already have.   You are leaving out that which will nourish you” That revelation hit me like a ton of bricks.
